Something exciting is happening.
Beginning in 2020, Chelsea Lothrop Photography will officially become a Full Service Equestrian Portrait Studio, catering to passionate equestrians in the Northeast and beyond.
What does that mean?
Simply put, I don't want your experience with me to end with a bunch of digital photos that get put away and forgotten. I want you to continue to experience the joy of your photographs for years, not just weeks or months. That's why I will be offering sessions centered around custom artwork that can be passed down for generations.
I've partnered up with some of the best photographic labs in the country to bring you exclusive, heirloom-quality products that are made to last a lifetime (and beyond).
photographic prints
Available in desk print (8 x 10 & smaller) or wall art sizes. Printed onto archival quality photographic paper.
canvas & metals
Elevate your home or barn's decor with a stunning wall display or signature piece.
heirloom albums
Printed onto photographic paper and hand bound into an album finished with fine Japanese silk or classic European leather.
gifts & keepsakes
From acrylic blocks to linen photo boxes, these make great gifts for friends and family (but I promise not to tell if you keep one for yourself!)
digital files
Each purchased photograph comes with the corresponding web-sized digital file, which is perfect for sharing online but is not printable. Printable, high-resolution digital files are available when you Create a Collection of artwork.
So how does it work?
Complimentary consultation: Let's talk horses! Your consultation is a chance for us to get to know each other and to answer any questions you may have. We'll schedule a phone or Skype call to chat all about your special horse, what you're looking for out of a portrait session, and what kind of artwork you love. Once you're ready to book, we'll select a date.
Portrait session: The day of your session, we'll meet at your barn (or location of choice). Whether you and your horse are new to modeling or seasoned pros, we'll have tons of fun! We will work through some light poses, but you'll find that most of the session flows organically based on how you and your horse interact naturally.
Image ordering appointment: A few weeks after your session, we'll meet at your home or barn (or online, if you're not local) to go over your images for the first time. You'll have a chance to view them all as many times as you'd like, as well as see samples of all products offered. I'll walk you through product selections and answer any questions you have so that you're left with a beautiful, custom collection of artwork.
And that's it! Within 3-4 weeks of placing your order, your products will arrive at your door, beautifully packaged and ready to go.
