Jarien & Stef
*Me, nearly crying with my camera in my hand*: I think this is the best day of my life 😭
This is Jarien and her Friesian stallion, Stef. When I say he's big... I mean, he's every inch of 17hh (maybe more?) and has a presence unlike any other animal I've ever seen. He's this amazing balance of powerful but sweet, and with the softest kind eyes.
You know that age-old question, what do you want to be when you grow up? Jarien. I want to be Jarien.
So mid-way through this shoot, Stef pulls a shoe before the riding portion of the day. No big deal. Jarien, in her floor-length sparkly red ball gown, is like "I'll just tack one back on at the house." And she does, in no time flat. That's a vibe I'd like to emulate one day. Not to mention she was SO kind and welcoming while we followed her around "ooh-ing" and "ahh-ing" at her and Stef.
She also has a whole collection of lovely animals at her house - from precious mini horses to chickens and a little naked rat who came out to make an appearance! Scroll all the way to the bottom for some special appearances from the rest of her happy little animal family.
